Salome Chioko began their work experience in 2010 as a Data Operator, specifically as an NRD. Salome then joined Telekom Networks Malawi Limited in 2014 as a CCO until 2017. From 2017 until 2020, they worked as an ESOC Service Help Desk for the same company. In 2020, Salome became a Billing Administrator for Telekom Networks Malawi Limited.

Salome Chioko attended the National College of Information Technology (Nacit) from 2009 to 2013. Salome studied Business Analysis and earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology. Additionally, they pursued further studies at the University of Greenwich, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Business Information Technology, although no specific timeframe is provided for this education.
