Matthew Horgan has extensive experience in STEM education, environmental management, and sustainable development. Currently serving as the STEM Programming & School Partnerships Manager at Teens for Food Justice, Matthew develops curriculum that incorporates hydroponics into STEM classes and trains educators on hydroponic systems. Previous roles include Operations Coordinator at GrowNYC and Conservation Project Coordinator at Tres Piedras Ecolodge Reserve, where Matthew focused on online fundraising and conservation efforts in Costa Rica. As a Science Teacher with the NYC Department of Education, Matthew instructed AP Environmental Science, and while a Sustainable Food Security Analyst at St. Edward's University, collaborated with local agencies to enhance food security mapping in Austin. Educational credentials include a Professional Science Master's degree from St. Edward's University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Binghamton University.
