Yi-ying Hsieh's work experience includes being an Industrial Designer at teenage engineering since January 2020. Before that, they worked at Zound Industries as an Industrial Designer from July 2014 to December 2019. At Zound Industries, they also held roles as a creative engineer from July 2014 to March 2017, and as a Design-engineering consultant from January 2014 to July 2014. Prior to Zound Industries, they worked at HUE Studio (Sweden) as an ID designer/ Cofunder from July 2012 to July 2014. They also worked at Electrolux as a Design Consultant in their Future and probing division from July 2013 to January 2014, and at Ndd design as a Senior Industrial Designer from September 2006 to June 2009.

Yi-ying Hsieh pursued their education in Industrial and Product Design, starting with their Bachelor of Science degree (BS) at National Cheng Kung University from 2002 to 2006. Yi-ying furthered their studies by obtaining a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Industrial and Product Design from Konstfack between 2010 and 2012.
