Silvia Hinojosa is a Senior Scientist at Tecnológico de Monterrey since November 2020 and has been an Investigador posdoctoral at Universitat de Barcelona since October 2016. Prior to these roles, Silvia Hinojosa worked as an Investigador at UNAM from March 2019 to November 2020, and held a similar position at the University of California, Irvine in the Department of Ecology and Evolution from September to December 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as an Educador at Instituto Moderno Americano and as an Instructor for Mad Science, providing science workshops for various educational institutions. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, a Master's in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography, and a Bachelor's degree in General Biology from the same institution.
