Dr. Benjamin Seibel serves as the Director of CityLAB Berlin since January 2019 and holds additional responsibilities as Director at Technologiestiftung Berlin since February 2015, where Dr. Benjamin also functions as Department Head. Dr. Seibel earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in History of Science from Harvard University between 2012 and 2014, and a Doctorate in Philosophy focused on Technikphilosophie from Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2010 to 2014. Furthermore, Dr. Seibel obtained a Master of Arts in Kulturwissenschaft from Leuphana University of Lüneburg, completing this degree in 2010.
