Tarun Mittal began their work experience in 2001 as a Deputy Manager, Marketing at Punj Lloyd Limited. Tarun then joined Technip India Limited in 2005 and held various roles including Lead Engineer Marketing, Deputy General Manager Marketing, and General Manager Marketing. In 2021, Tarun joined Technip Energies as a General Manager - Business Development & Sales, and later promoted to Associate Vice President - Business Development & Sales in July 2022.

Tarun Mittal completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Technology, G.B.P.U.A&T, Pantnagar in 1999. Tarun then pursued a PGDBM degree in Marketing from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management from 1999 to 2001.
