Aleena Khan's work experience includes a range of roles in various organizations. Aleena started their career at Kumon as an Early Learning Teacher, where they tutored and assisted preschool and early elementary school children with reading and math. Aleena then worked at the George Washington University, serving as a Student Mentor and a Community-Engaged Scholar. Aleena also worked as a Policy and Research Intern at Freedman Consulting, LLC. Aleena gained experience as a Podcast Producer and Energy Analyst at the Energy Impact Center, where they edited audio and implemented social media campaigns. Aleena served as an Editorial Assistant at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Aleena also worked with TEDxFoggyBottom in roles such as Content Team Deputy Director and Content Advisor. Additionally, Aleena was involved in research and event photography as a Research Assistant at the Institute for International Economic Policy. Aleena worked at GW Policy Perspectives as a Podcast Editor. Most recently, Aleena held positions at New America, starting as a TechCongress Intern and eventually becoming a TechCongress Senior Program Associate. Currently, Aleena works as an Outreach & Program Manager at TechCongress.

Aleena Khan attended The George Washington University from 2016 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Focus in Public Policy. Aleena also pursued a minor in Economics during their time there. In 2018, they participated in a program at IES Abroad, focusing on Business and International Affairs in Paris.
