Roman Maag is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in systems engineering, medical robotics, and product development. Currently serving as the Team Leader of Systems Engineering at Tecan since June 2021, Roman oversees a team of systems engineers and integrators. Previously, Roman held various roles at ETH Zurich, including Project Lead for a minimally invasive robotic medical device development, which evolved into the ETH spin-off Nanoflex Robotics, and served as CTO of Ophthorobotics AG, leading product development for a novel medical robot. Roman's background also includes positions as a Development Engineer at Helbling Technik AG and flexfactory ag, as well as co-founding Syndrega GmbH. Roman holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor of Science in Automation and Mechatronics from Chalmers University of Technology.
