Tony Cantafio has a long and varied work experience. Tony began their career in 2005 as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer with the US Navy. In 2006, they worked as a Tactical Signals Intelligence Supervisor for the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. In 2009, they worked as an Afloat Signals Intelligence Supervisor/Special Security Officer for the USS O'KANE (DDG 77). From 2011 to 2013, they worked for the Navy Information Operations Command as a Senior Supervisor, Network and Communications Department, and a Digital Network Intelligence Mission Manager. In 2012, they worked as a Linguist Resource Coordinator and Contract Manager for the Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Cyber Operations Supervisor for the National Security Agency. From 2015 to 2018, they worked for the Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group as a Project Manager. Finally, in 2018, they began working for TeamWorx Security as the Vice President of Programs and a Program Manager.
Tony Cantafio's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the United States Naval Academy between 2001 and 2005, and a Master of Science in Management and Intelligence from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2012 and 2015. Tony also holds certifications in Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org (obtained in April 2022), Mastering Digital Project Management from The Digital Project Manager (obtained in April 2019), Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from Harvard’s Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning, in association with HarvardX (obtained in July 2018), DAWIA Program Manager Level II from Defense Acquisition University, and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org.
