Laura Nolan has been working in the security industry since 1999. Laura began their career at the National Security Agency as a Software Engineer. In 2001, they moved to The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as Chief Engineer for Cyber Strategy. In 2010, they took on a Teaching Assistant role at Johns Hopkins University. In 2016, they co-founded TeamWorx Security and served as COO. In 2017, they moved to the National Strategic Research Institute at the University of Nebraska as Director of Cyber Programs and Exercises. In 2020, they returned to TeamWorx Security as Executive Vice President.
Laura Nolan completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Hood College in 2003. Laura then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University in 2005. In 2014, they attended the SANS Technology Institute for Forensics and Malware Analysis. In 2018, they completed a Disruptive Strategy course from Harvard Business School. Additionally, they obtained their Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in August 2016.
