Kent Butler has had a diverse work experience. In 2005, they worked as an actor and Director of Marketing & Public Relations at The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Kent then joined TRI Leadership Resources in 2006 as a Leadership Specialist and Keynote Speaker, where they provided training and development services to various clients. In 2009, they became a Children's Pastor at Church on the Hill. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the President of the Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association, promoting the region through the marketing brand Explore Northwest Arkansas.

Kent Butler attended Arkansas Tech University from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Speech Communication and History and Political Science. The field of study for their degree is not specified.
