Yesem Kebede's work experience started in 2015 as an intern at 5 Links Global Group. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Intern at W. L. Gore & Associates. In 2017, they had an internship at Boeing. They continued at Boeing in 2018 as a Software Test Engineer. In 2019, they joined Upside Business Travel as a Quality Engineer and later transitioned to a Site Reliability Engineer role, where they administered, operated, and maintained Kubernetes clusters and applications. They also played a key role in deploying and maintaining CI/CD using Spinnaker. In 2021, they worked as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Coiled. Currently, in 2022, they are employed as a Site Reliability Engineer at Teampay.

Yesem Kebede has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland. Yesem attended the University of Maryland from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Montgomery College, where they studied from 2013 to 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Yesem Kebede is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Associate, which they obtained from Amazon Web Services in January 2021. Yesem also holds the Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate certification, which they received from Oracle in September 2018.
