Giovanni Traverso has a wealth of experience in the field of bio-technology. Giovanni began their career as a Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2010. In 2018, they became a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering (MechE). In 2016, they took on the roles of Assistant Professor and Instructor in Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2017, they founded Celero Systems, Suono Bio, and Lyndra (www.lyndraco.com). In 2018, they co-founded Vivtex. In 2021, they co-founded Teal Bio. Most recently, in 2022, they co-founded Syntis Bio.
Giovanni Traverso completed a BA in Medical Sciences and Genetics from the University of Cambridge between 1995 and 1998. Giovanni then obtained a PhD in Early Detection of Colon Cancer from The Johns Hopkins University between 1998 and 2002. Following this, they completed an MB, BChir in Medicine from the University of Cambridge between 2003 and 2006.
