Maja Almquist is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in program management and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Programs at Teaching Lab, Maja previously held the position of Program Manager for K-5 Literacy at Prospect Schools, where responsibilities included mentoring teachers and utilizing data-driven strategies for improvement. Maja has also worked as a Professional Learning Specialist at Amplify, leading professional development workshops, and as an Instructional Coach at Uncommon Schools, providing support in classroom management and instructional practices. Additional roles include Curriculum Specialist and ELA Teacher, with a focus on developing and implementing engaging curricula. Maja holds a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Music from Skidmore College.
