Jacques Baran is the Cultural Attaché at Teaching Assistant Program in France USA. Jacques previously worked as Chargé de Mission Relations Internationales for Toulouse Métropole from May 2009 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for mounting and piloting decentralized cooperation projects. This involved regular trips to Düsseldorf, Montréal, Atlanta, Kiev and Tel Aviv to follow the progress of the projects (in the fields of economy, culture and science), in liaison with the French Embassies, French Institutes and local partner authorities.
Some examples of the projects they have worked on include the Semaine de la gastronomie in Tel Aviv, the Frankreichsfest in Düsseldorf, and the Goût de France in Kiev. Jacques has also been responsible for mounting cultural projects to promote and support local artists, and to foster the development of artistic co-productions. For instance, they have organized artist residencies with the city of Düsseldorf, an exchange of graffiti artists with the city of Atlanta, and the dispatch of artists from Toulouse to the Printemps français festival in Kiev organized by the IF of Ukraine.
In addition, they have also assisted Tououse-based companies in their international endeavors to facilitate their access to new markets (particularly in the field of innovation/digital technology, in liaison with French Tech and Business France offices abroad). For
Jacques Baran was educated in the field of Droit public at the CNFPT. Jacques later pursued a DESS in Administration des Entreprises with a focus on Affaires européennes at IGR-IAE Rennes. Jacques is also certified from the TOEIC Program in TOEIC Exam 975/990.
