In 2022, Michael Krueger was named as only the 10th Commissioner in the over 100-year history of the Colorado High School Athletics and Activities Association. In this role, Krueger and his team oversee the administration and oversight of athletic and activity programs for Colorado’s 365-member high schools. Active at both a State and National level, Krueger’s career spans over 31 years in public education as an administrator, athletic/activities director, counselor, teacher and coach. He most recently served as the Senior Director of Education for USA Football, a member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, where his team led the evolution and design of the Football Development Model. The FDM is based on long-term athlete development principles and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s American Development Model. Krueger is also a proud member of the National Teaching Faculty for the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. The Colorado native has earned numerous awards for his work, including the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Award of Merit and the National Federation of High Schools Citation Award.
