Joy Okoro currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue & Development Officer (INTERIM) at Teach For America, where responsibilities include overseeing strategy and execution for an operating budget of approximately $250 million. In a previous role as Executive Vice President, Field Impact & Enterprise Integration, Joy Okoro led around 45 regional teams and worked with a network of over 5,000 corps members, 60,000 alumni, and more than 1,000 staff members, all focused on addressing educational inequity. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President at Teach For America Greater New Orleans, various leadership roles in regional strategy and innovation, and teaching positions as a Math Teacher in both Jefferson Parish Public School System and KIPP New Orleans. Joy Okoro began the career journey as a Corps Member with Teach For America after earning a BS in Tourism & Hospitality from Temple University in 2008.
