Amanuel Berhane is an experienced evaluator currently working at Te Pou since June 2021, where responsibilities include scoping evaluations, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, and report writing to support mental health, addiction, and disability programs. Amanuel also has a volunteer role as a member of the Migration Advisory Group for the New Zealand Red Cross, advising on services for migrants and refugees. Previous experience includes research for ChangeMakers Resettlement Forum, project work with Stats NZ on the 2018 Census, and an internship at Allen + Clarke focused on midwifery evaluation. Amanuel's foundational work in monitoring and evaluation began as a Project Officer at the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Eritrea.
