Michael Bergmann is a Technical Fellow at Sierra Space, providing expertise in semiconductor technologies for solar cell and panel development since May 2022. Concurrently, Bergmann serves as an Advisor and Investor for TCPoly, Inc., focusing on engineered thermally conductive polymers. Prior experience includes working as an Advisory Scientist at EmitBio Inc., where technology and intellectual property development were key responsibilities, and serving in various roles at Cree from 1999 to May 2022, culminating in the position of Senior Director of R&D Optoelectronics. Bergmann's early career includes a postdoctoral research position at Duke University, following a Ph.D. in Physics from the same institution and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Saint John's University.
