Matt Kiely is a Principal Security Researcher at Huntress, where efforts focus on exemplifying the behaviors of cybercriminals. With a diverse background in cybersecurity and education, Matt serves as an Instructor at The Taggart Institute and also creates and teaches courses on Practical Malware Analysis and Triage at TCM Security. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Cybersecurity Research Engineer and Staff Red Team Engineer at SimSpace Corporation, and as a Red Team Operator and Exploit Developer at an undisclosed organization. Matt's experience extends to being a Lead Information System Security Officer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and prior military service in various roles within the United States Marine Corps. Matt holds a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Northeastern University.
