Brian Chan began their work experience in 1999 as a Member of Technical Staff at EPSON R&D, where they developed various Java applications and modules. Brian then worked at TeleNav as a Senior Software Engineer from 2008 to 2013. Following that, they moved to Thinknear by Telenav, where they held the same position from 2013 to 2016. Brian then joined Pluribus Networks as a Senior Software Engineer for a brief period in 2016. Lastly, they are currently employed at TBCASoft as a Software Engineer, starting in October 2016.

From 1994 to 1999, Brian Chan attended UCLA where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
