Jan Korting has extensive experience in oversight roles, particularly in the fields of WTB (Mechanical Engineering) and Civil Engineering. Since October 2018, Jan has been serving as a supervisor at Syntraal, overseeing the renovation and construction of complexes including pumping stations and treatment facilities. Concurrently, Jan has worked at Tauw bv since March 1981, holding a similar supervisory position. Jan's earlier experience includes serving as a board member and chair at Raambuurtvereniging from 1985 to 1995, and working as a draftsman at De Plaatijzerindustrie BV from 1977 to 1981, where skills in manual drafting for pressure vessels and other equipment were developed. Jan's foundational education in WTB was completed at MTS Deventer from 1972 to 1976, preceded by studies at LTS T-stroom Voorbrug. Additionally, Jan fulfilled the role of administrator during compulsory military service from March 1976 to March 1977.
