Salmah Akram currently serves as the Chair of Governors and Safeguarding Governor at Casterton Primary Academy since October 2021, while also holding the position of Deputy Principal at Castercliff Primary Academy from September 2023. In addition, Salmah has been an ECF Delivery Associate with Star Academies since December 2021 and has extensive experience at Essa Primary School, where roles included Assistant Principal, Head of Lower School, and Deputy Principal from August 2014 to April 2024. Previously, Salmah served as a Primary School Teacher with Middle Leadership Responsibility at Broad Oak Primary School and as an Early Years and Family First Lead Educator at The Manchester Museum. Salmah's educational background includes a Master of Education in Special and Inclusive Education from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education with QTS from The Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as the National Professional Qualification for Headship from Star Institute.
