Deborah Ashton has a strong background in strategic development and operations management, currently serving as the Director of Strategy and Operations at Star Academies since November 2011. Deborah's experience includes roles at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, where responsibilities included interim positions in Health and Wellbeing Development and Head of Business Intelligence, as well as a tenure at North West Employers as an Associate. Prior roles also include Executive Director of Policy at Lancashire County Council and County Community Policy Manager at Cheshire County Council. Deborah Ashton holds a degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Manchester and completed education at Notre Dame Grammar School in Blackburn. Since December 2018, Deborah has taken on the title of "Lady of leisure."
