Marlin Pohlman has a long and varied work experience. Marlin began their career in 2003 as Technical Director at Oracle USA Redwood Shores CA, where they established an Identity Management Practice and founded Oracle GRC Strategy. Marlin then moved to SunGard as Director GRC & Identity Services in 2009, where they were responsible for coordinating the adoption of Banner/Ambit financial SaaS platform information assurance and IT governance for twelve financial services clients. In 2010, they became CoChair of the Cloud Security Alliance's Control Matrix WG and Consensus Assessment WG. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at Unified Compliance Framework as a Contract Cloud Security & ISO SME, at State of Oregon as an Auditor, and at Cognova Analytics as Director Research (Multi Role: SCRUM Master, Data Engineer, AWS Platform Specialist). From 2013 to 2018, they worked at TaskForce Red as Project Manager/SCRUM Master - Medical Bioinformatics and Security. Marlin is currently employed at Visdom Inc. as MDR Article 15 PRRC (ISO 13485:2021, ISO 9001, 27001 Lead Auditor) SAFe 5.0 Project Manager.

Marlin Pohlman has an extensive education history. Marlin obtained a High School Diploma from Sapulpa High School in 1988. Marlin then went on to The University of Tulsa, where they earned a B.S.E. in Engineering Physics / Mathematics in 1995. Marlin then attended University of Phoenix and received a Post-Graduate MBA in 1999. In 2013, Marlin obtained a Post Graduate in Paralegal Studies from Blackstone. Marlin also obtained an MBA and PhD from Trinity & Lexington Universities (no longer in operation as degree granting universities) between 1994 and 2002. In addition, Marlin has obtained a number of certifications from various institutions, including Greenlight Guru, Coursera, PECB, Axeon Corporation, Exemplar Global, Inc., Advicera, OpenSesame, IT-University, and LearnSmart.
