Nicholas Slayton is an accomplished journalist with a diverse background in print and digital media, currently serving as a Contributing Editor and Weekend Editor at Task & Purpose since May 2022. Slayton is also a Freelance Journalist, covering topics such as the arts, homelessness, inequality, and Los Angeles politics for various publications, including Shelterforce and Architectural Digest. Previous experience includes roles as Staff Writer/Co-Editor at Los Angeles Downtown News, Social Media Associate Editor at AJ+, and Editorial Fellow at The Atlantic, among others. Slayton's career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Print and Digital Journalism from the University of Southern California, completed in 2012.
