Elizabeth Smith is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Center for Sustainable Systems, focusing on modeling lifecycle emissions from various vehicle choices to aid in reducing transportation carbon footprints. Previously, Elizabeth served as Lead Data Scientist at TASA Analytics, LLC, and as a Data Scientist at Equifax, where programming accuracy and customer retention marketing tools were key responsibilities. Early experiences include receiving the UROP grant at the University of Minnesota for research on last-mile delivery strategies, managing a logistics project at Hilti Group that uncovered significant revenue opportunities, and providing technical support at 3M. Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan and a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
