Alex Schillinger has a diverse work experience in the technology field. They began their career at the University of Minnesota Genomics Center, where they served as a Clerical Student Assistant, handling financial and private data and maintaining database records. They then joined Best Buy as a Web Engineer/Ops Intern, collaborating with a team on a full-stack project and implementing a secure cloud object store. They continued at Best Buy as an Associate Digital Engineer, contributing to virtualization engineering efforts and mentoring interns on security features. After that, they became a Digital Engineer, developing platform libraries and applications for BestBuy.com. Following their time at Best Buy, they joined Target as a Senior Software Engineer, progressing to the role of Lead Engineer and currently serving as a Principal Engineer.

Alex Schillinger earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2015.
