Nicolas Massie

Director, Program Management, Poultry at Targan

Nicolas Massie, P.E., PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nicolas started their career in the US Army in 2008, where they served as a US Army Engineer Officer. During their time in the army, they held positions such as Executive Officer and Company Commander, where they demonstrated strong leadership and performance, earning recognition and promotions. Nicolas contributed to important projects, including evaluating the army's engineer response during the 2017 hurricane season, resulting in cost savings of $10 million.

In 2019, Nicolas interned at Corning Incorporated as an MBA Summer Strategy Intern, where they gained valuable insights into corporate strategy and business operations.

Following their internship, they joined Triangle Insights Group, LLC in 2020 as a Strategy Consultant. In this role, Nicolas successfully executed and delivered over 12 life science client engagements, providing strategic insights to C-suite executives and senior leaders in the healthcare industry. Nicolas utilized various skills such as financial modeling, project management, data analytics, and market research to effectively communicate key strategic insights.

Currently, Nicolas holds the position of Director of Program Management, Poultry at TARGAN Inc. since 2022.

Nicolas Massie, P.E., PMP has a strong educational background with a focus on engineering and business. Nicolas obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business in the years 2018-2020. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in the year 2014. Nicolas also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah, which they received between 2004 and 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nicolas holds two professional certifications. Nicolas is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) awarded by the Project Management Institute. Furthermore, they are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
