Jake Mas has a diverse work experience in various engineering and technical roles. Jake started at Page-A-Tech in 2010 as an Automotive Technician and Service Manager, where they repaired and maintained vehicles, conducted diagnostics and troubleshooting, and performed engine and suspension repairs.
In 2017, Jake joined Tetragon Labs as an R&D Mechanical Engineer. During their time there, they worked closely with the company owner and lead engineer to expand the harmonic gearing product line, optimize torque handling capabilities, and produce ASME compliant manufacturing and customer drawings. Jake also served as a shop machinist, designing and manufacturing fixturing for testing and fabricating display units. Jake traveled to meet clients and other engineers to coordinate product fitment and compatibility. Jake transitioned to a role as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, providing support for experienced engineers and working on software improvement projects, tool designs, and product failure analysis.
In 2022, Jake joined PolarOnyx, Inc as a Mechanical Engineer. Their responsibilities included designing, improving, and maintaining mechanics and control software for laser additive manufacturing machines, as well as operating laser cutting machines, laser forming, milling, and wire EDM. Jake worked with difficult materials such as metal-ceramic alloys.
Currently, Jake is working at TARGAN Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer starting from September 2022. No end date is provided, indicating that they are still employed there.
Jake Mas obtained an Associate's degree in Engineering from Prince George's Community College from 2015 to 2017. Later, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics at Arizona State University from 2019 to 2022.
