Matúš K. has a diverse range of work experience, primarily focused on software and blockchain engineering. Their most recent position was as a Blockchain Engineer at Taraxa.io, where they worked on networking, consensus algorithms, and reward distribution. Matúš implemented key features such as network compression and an improved discovery protocol, as well as introducing a binomial distribution algorithm for vote weighting.

Prior to this, Matúš worked as a Software Engineer at Tachyum, where they contributed to the development of a toolchain for a new CPU architecture. Matúš also ported several open-source projects to their platform.

Matúš has also worked as a Blockchain Engineer at Lition Technology AG, where they developed a blockchain platform for a decentralized energy supplier, utilizing an IBFT consensus mechanism and sidechains.

In addition, they have experience as a Blockchain Engineer at SophiaTX, where they customized the SophiaTX blockchain for business needs and worked on a lightweight client.

Before entering the blockchain field, Matúš worked as a Software Engineer at Sygic, focusing on core functionalities for enterprise navigation software, and at Erste Group IT SK, where they developed a multi-agent transfer system and integration testing library.

Matúš began their career as an IT Tester at ZUNO Bank, conducting back-end testing and scripting in Python.

Matúš K. completed their Bachelor's degree in Security of Information Technologies from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave in the years 2011 to 2014. Matúš then pursued a Master's degree in the same field from the same university, from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, they also briefly attended TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology where they studied Cyber Security. Matúš K. has an additional certification from Codility, the Codility Golden Award for the Digital Gold Challenge, obtained in August 2018.
