Lee Grooms is the Comptroller at Taproot Theatre. Lee has a long and varied work history, with experience in customer support, project management, and localization. Lee has been with Taproot Theatre since 2013, and in their current role, they are responsible for the financial management of the company. Prior to joining Taproot, Lee worked for Microsoft as an Infopedia Media Support Manager, where they developed and managed support systems for clients and end users of Microsoft’s corporate rich media broadcast platform. Lee also worked as a Technical Projects Manager for Sysgain and as a Launch Manager and Localization Manager for BEEDOCS. In their previous role as Operations Director for Grace Seattle, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. Lee has a long history of working in theatre and the arts, and they are committed to Taproot’s mission of producing professional theatre that engages, enlightens, and entertains.

Lee Grooms has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Houston, with minors in English and Psychology. Lee also has a degree in Counseling and College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland.

Lee Grooms reports to Dwight Hutton, Director, Finance & Operations. They are on a team with Ashleigh Coe - Facilities Supervisor, Custodial, James Faley - Business Office Coordinator, and Tim Samland - Facilities Coordinator.
