James Keane has held various positions in the technology and business sectors since 2005. James began their career at MetLife, Inc. in 2005, where they were a Manager of the Information Technology Group Strategic Services. In this role, they were responsible for designing and deploying a portfolio management strategy for a $1B portfolio of IT investments. From 2009 to 2018, they worked for Anheuser-Busch InBev, where they held various positions, including Global Director of Growth Development Platforms & Portfolio Management, Founding Partner of ZX Ventures, Global Director of Disruptive Growth & Innovation, Global Director of Innovation & Analytics, and Global Director of Marketing Technology & Innovation. From 2018 to 2019, they held the role of Product & Strategy Head at TAPPTEK, an internet-of-things startup. During this time, they led the development of a tiny, low cost, long lasting IoT data miner that was embedded inside new tap handles at the point of manufacture. From 2019 to 2022, they were General Partner at Laminar, LLC, and Co-Founder, Operations, and Investor Relations at CMTx Biotech, Inc. James was also the Principle of Parenting Solutions, LLC - NumNum, Founder & CEO of Airfoil Corp, and an Advisor for MakerGirl and MobileWare.

In 2015, they attended University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where they obtained Executive Education in Front End Innovation, Design Thinking. In 2016, they attended Harvard Business School Online, where they obtained Disruptive Strategy in Innovation & Exploration, and Singularity University, where they obtained Exponential Organizations & Exponential Growth. Additionally, James Keane has obtained various certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, such as Commercial Pilot (CP) and Multi Engine Pilot in 2019, Drone Pilot - Part 107 in 2015, Single Engine Seaplane Pilot in 2012, Instrument Pilot in 2002, and Private Pilot in 2001.
