Kate MacFarlane has five years of work experience. In 2015, they held the role of Director of Events at the Rotman Commerce Consulting Association and Analyst at Initiative Consulting. In 2016, they were a Summer Analyst at CIBC Wood Gundy. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Taplytics as an Associate Product Manager, Customer Success Manager, Associate, Enterprise Services, and Business Development Representative. In 2022, they began working as an Associate Product Manager at DevCycle.

Kate MacFarlane has a diverse educational background. Kate obtained their Alberta High School Diploma & Partial IB Diploma from Strathcona Tweedsmuir School between 2010 and 2013. Kate then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Management, Concentration in Strategy from the University of Toronto between 2013 and 2017. In 2016, they completed a Front-End Web Development course from General Assembly Canada and an Intro to Web Development course from Lighthouse Labs. In 2021, they obtained a Product Management Certificate from BrainStation.
