Amanda Liepins has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Amanda started their career as a Full-time Junior Design Intern at Stoltze Design in 2007, where they provided assistance to all designers and contributed to designing logos, websites, book covers, and other print materials. Amanda then interned as a Studio and Account Intern at Arnold Worldwide, where they provided assistance to creative studio colleagues and contributed to Photoshop, scanning, and production work. Amanda also had an Art Director Intern role at The Barbarian Group, where they provided assistance to colleagues, facilitated research and writing, attended meetings, and contributed to design work for clients like Kashi, Nike, and Getty Images.
In 2008, Amanda joined Sametz Blackstone Associates as a Full-time Junior Design Intern and collaborated with all designers to develop and implement creative design solutions for clients like Harvard, MIT Sloan, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Later that year, they interned as a Design Director at Tank Design, a bi-coastal branding, design, and experience agency. Amanda then worked as a Senior Designer at Sequel Studio, a boutique branding agency partnering with iconic brands. Amanda had the opportunity to work closely with Partners and Creative Directors and develop a breadth of skills across every aspect of a project.
Amanda's most recent role is as a Design Director at Tank Design, where they are part of a strongly integrated group of researchers, strategists, designers, writers, technologists, and organizers. The agency creates new digital experiences, evolves existing brands, and empowers established brands.
Throughout their career, Amanda has gained experience in various aspects of design, including print and digital media, branding, and creative direction.
Amanda Liepins has a diverse educational background. In 2004, they enrolled at Northeastern University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Graphic Design. After completing their undergraduate studies, Amanda continued to pursue their education by participating in various continuing education programs. In 2013, they attended the School of Visual Arts and focused on Gourmet Typography and Design Portfolio. The following year, in 2014, Amanda studied Digital Photography at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Additionally, in 2015, they furthered their education in portfolio development at Parsons School of Design - The New School. This range of educational experiences demonstrates Amanda's commitment to continuously expanding their skill set in the creative field.
