Steve Carlson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in sales engineering and outdoor activities. Currently serving as a Mountain Ambassador at Tamarack Resort since November 2022, Steve provides guided ski tours and supports ski patrol operations. Prior to this role, Steve operated as an outdoor adventurer starting in November 2019. Steve's extensive experience in technology includes leadership positions such as Director of Sales Engineering at Symantec, where responsibilities encompassed managing a technical sales team focused on cybersecurity solutions, and Manager of Sales Engineering at Blue Coat Systems, driving a successful transition to solution selling. Earlier roles include significant contributions at BEA Systems, Fuego, Sun Microsystems, and Netscape Communications, where leadership in training, partnership strategies, and team management were key achievements. Steve holds an MBA from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montana in Geology and Business.
