Andrew Murphy has a wealth of experience in the legal field. Andrew began their career in 2012 as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable John G. Koeltl, United States District Court, S.D.N.Y., where they conducted extensive legal research and writing in the areas of commercial, tort, and civil rights law, and drafted bench memoranda and opinions related to civil and criminal matters. In 2013, they were a Summer Associate in the M&A Group at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, representing corporations and other entities in all aspects of negotiated complex public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as issuers and investment banks in connection with various financing matters, and borrowers and financial institutions in their capacities as lenders in connection with acquisition financings, term loans, revolving credit facilities, asset backed credit facilities and other borrowings. In 2018, they joined Fenwick & West as an Associate, where they represented startup and growth stage companies in all stages of their life cycle as well as venture capital firms that invest in startup and growth stage companies, and represented technology and life science companies as both buyers and sellers in acquisition and sale transactions. Currently, they are the VP of Legal at Talos.
Andrew Murphy attended New York University School of Law from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Delaware from 2007 to 2011 and earned a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Accounting.
