Abhijeet Majumdar has a long and varied work experience. Abhijeet began their career in 1995 as a Front Office Executive at ITC Chola Sheraton. In 1996, they moved to Ambattur Clothing Ltd. as a Merchandising Manager. In 2001, they became the General Manager Merchandising at Busana Apparel Group, where they were the Key Partner vendor for Abercrombie’s launch of their Concept 3 “Hollister” and subsequently also their Concept 4 “Ruehl”. Abhijeet was also responsible for building the Ann Taylor business from scratch to the Top Three list in 3 years, with a total business value handled of over USD 50 million per year. In 2009, they joined TMS Fashions Limited as Divisional Merchandising Manager, where they improved process management and margins by over 15% over all categories of Knits, Sweaters and Woven. In 2011, they moved to PEARL GLOBAL INDUSTRIES LTD (PGIL) - Norpknit Industries, Bangladesh, as Vice President Marketing and Merchandising - Wovens. In 2013, they were Divisional Manager at MGF Sourcing. In 2015, they joined Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies as International Marketing Manager (Innovation and Bonding technology), where they were given the task by the organization in their drive to innovate and generate unique customer value with new market segments including Performance wear, Intimates and Technical Outerwear categories. The Bonding Technology project has now developed into a differentiated range of bonding adhesives now sought after by leading brands in the industry. In 2021, Abhijeet Majumdar joined Talon International, Inc. as Director.
Abhijeet Majumdar's education history includes attending The Air Force School, Subroto Park, New Delhi from 1982 to 1989, Madurai Kamaraj University - Sourashtra College from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, and Institute of Hotel Management - Chennai, India from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a degree in Hotel Management.
