Meryam Shuffaq is a dedicated professional with experience in law and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Trainee Solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors since June 2023, Meryam previously worked as a Legal Assistant at Quinn Martin & Langan Solicitors, assisting with asylum, immigration, criminal, and family law cases. Meryam also held the position of Legal Intern at Jackson Boyd LLP, contributing to cases involving road traffic personal injury and civil litigation. In addition to legal roles, Meryam is the owner of an ethical and sustainable candle-making business, Marisol, launched during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meryam's background in customer service is highlighted by a role at Sainsbury's, where recognition was received for excellent service. Meryam has a strong academic foundation, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and an LLB in English and Scots Law from the University of Strathclyde, complemented by a BA in Politics and International Relations.
