Business Development Lead - Regional Strategy & Innovation at Talabat

Rizwan Ali has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Rizwan began their career as a Sales Business Development professional at du in 2016, where they demonstrated in-depth knowledge of telecom products and services. Rizwan engaged with new customers, promoted new products, and achieved sales targets. In 2017, they joined halaKIWI FZ LLC as a Sales & GTM Lead, focusing on developing a product to reduce food waste in the F&B industry. Later that year, they transitioned to du again as a Business Sales Associate.

In 2018, Rizwan joined talabat and held multiple positions, including Lead Gen & Onboarding Administrator, Sales Administrator, and Regional Associate Salesforce Specialist. Rizwan onboarded restaurant accounts to the platform, built processes for Enterprise accounts, and collaborated with key account managers and restaurant partners. In 2020, they became the Country Project Coordinator for talabat in the UAE. Rizwan then led the country project for Talabat Kuwait and currently holds the role of Business Development Lead - Regional Strategy & Innovation at talabat from October 2021.

Rizwan Ali completed their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA with a specialization in International Finance from Middlesex University Dubai between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma in International Business/Trade/Commerce from GEMS Education, which they completed between 2011 and 2016. In addition to their formal education, Rizwan has obtained various certifications, including "Foundations of Decentralized Finance (DeFi)," "Modeling Courageous Leadership: Intelligent Disobedience," "Strategic Planning Foundations," "Sales: Sales Games for Your Teams," and "Solution Selling" from LinkedIn, with varying completion years.
