Sam Hecht currently serves as the Founding Software Engineer at Tako since December 2023. Previously, Sam held various leadership roles at Confluent from December 2015 to December 2022, including Vice President of Global Technical Support and Success Engineering, and Sr. Director of Global Technical Support & Customer Success Engineering. Sam also led the professional services organization as the Interim Head for approximately one year. Prior to Confluent, Sam was the Director of Data Engineering at Metamarkets, a company specializing in big data analytics. Sam's career began at Cambridge Associates as a Senior Consulting Associate Team Leader, providing strategic advice to institutional investors after earning a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Economics from the University of Virginia.
