Richard Cole is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Takeoff Technologies, Inc. since December 2019, Richard manages a global team of Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and has successfully directed efforts to significantly reduce cloud expenditure. Previous roles include Engineering Manager, where Richard led a team emphasizing CI/CD practices, and Senior Quality Engineer, focusing on talent acquisition and process automation. Richard's experience also encompasses leadership positions at Applause as Software Engineer Team Lead and at Hitachi Vantara as Senior Software Engineer in Test, developing custom AI models. Richard began the career at Nasuni and Action Ambulance Service in various engineering and support roles. An alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
