Saurabh Mishra has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and economics. Saurabh is currently the Founder and CEO of Taiyō.AI, a position they have held since May 2021. Saurabh is also a Non-Resident Fellow at The Brookings Institution and a Visiting Fellow at the Bank for International Settlements.

In 2020, Saurabh was a member of the OECD Network of Experts on AI (ONE AI). Saurabh was also a Program Committee Member for the Implementing AI Ethics Spring Symposium at the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).

Prior to their current roles, Saurabh served as the Director of AI Index at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) from 2019 to 2021. Saurabh also worked as a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, a Research Fellow at the Peace Innovation Lab Stanford, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Management during the same period.

From 2016 to 2018, Saurabh worked as a Senior Economist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where they led projects in corporate finance, equity capital markets, and strategic diversification. Saurabh focused on investment opportunities in hi-tech service companies in India and China, as well as various sectors including robotics, electric vehicles, and AI industries.

Overall, Saurabh Mishra has built a strong background in AI research and analysis, along with expertise in economics and finance.

Saurabh Mishra pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2004 to 2007. Following this, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Economics and Finance, with doctoral coursework in applied econometric and international economic, from the same university between 2006 and 2008. Later, they attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Reliability Engineering from 2014 to 2018.
