Chengchen (Rex) Wang's work experience begins with their current role as a Staff Software Engineer at Taitopia, which they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, initially as an Associate Software Engineer from September 2017 to July 2018, and then as a Software Engineer from July 2018 to September 2021. Before joining the Broad Institute, Chengchen was a Masters Student at Boston University from August 2015 to May 2017. In 2016, they gained experience as a Data Science Intern at Pfizer, where they implemented clients for external web services and created internal bio-services. In 2014, they also interned as an IT Specialist at IBM, where they worked on time series data analysis and interactive visualizations.

Chengchen (Rex) Wang began their education journey at Southeast University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics. Chengchen(Rex) then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Boston University from 2015 to 2017. After completing their master's, Chengchen went on to attend the Harvard Extension School from 2018 to 2021, where they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Data Science.
