Mohamed A Omar is an Associate Professor at Taibah University, with experience dating back to October 2017. Teaching responsibilities include a wide range of mechanical engineering courses, such as Introduction to Engineering Design, Programming for Mechanical Engineers, and various advanced topics. Mohamed has played an active role in university governance as a member of multiple committees focused on quality, curriculum, and international collaborations. Prior to the current position, Mohamed served as the Vice Dean of Development and Quality and as Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Additional experience includes engineering roles at Caterpillar Inc. spanning from 2004 to 2009, contributing to product development and simulation software. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Cairo University, and a PhD from the University of Illinois Chicago.
