Vanessa Wilkins serves as the Executive Director at Tahirih Justice Center in Atlanta since October 2021. Prior to this role, Vanessa held several leadership positions at Promise Place from January 2004 to October 2021, including Executive Director, Shelter Director, and Project Coordinator. In the capacity of Executive Director, Vanessa successfully coordinated with staff, board members, and community leaders to sustain Promise Place's reputation and enhance its mission through effective program implementation, fundraising efforts, and strategic planning. As Shelter Director, Vanessa managed daily operations and developed a competent staff team, while as Project Coordinator, responsibilities included expanding services across a four-county area, conducting public awareness campaigns on domestic violence, and collaborating with stakeholders to establish an emergency shelter.
