Cole Kainz has been working in the software engineering industry since 2014. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant at NDSU's Computer Science Department, where they built a Javascript based webpage to display data from a Geographic Information System. In 2015, they were a Software Development Intern at NDSU Software and Systems group, where they assisted in the development of Cogi Android and SmartC2's Aviation management system. From 2018 to 2021, they were an Android Engineer at Bushel, a SaaS turned SaaP company leading the industry in interfacing farmers to elevators. In 2021, they moved to Tack Mobile as an Android Engineer and is currently a Senior Software Engineer at RSG - Resource Systems Group, Inc.

Cole Kainz graduated from North Dakota State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Cole attended the university from 2013 to 2018.
