Giovana Azzi Lemke has a diverse work experience in the field of protection and control engineering. Giovana began their career at CEPEL as a research intern in 2011 and 2013, respectively. In 2014, they joined Xcel Energy as a contract engineer, where they conducted transient analysis studies in the Substation Design group. Giovana'sresponsibilities included substation modeling and evaluating switching transients using EMTP-ATP and CAPE database. In 2016, they transitioned to Systems Control as a Protection and Control Engineer I. Over the years, they advanced to the roles of Protection and Control Engineer II and currently serves as the Protection and Control Lead Engineer. Giovana'stenure at Systems Control is ongoing.
Giovana Azzi Lemke completed their education in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Giovana obtained a Master's degree from Michigan Technological University during the period of 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from 2008 to 2013 and obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems. In addition to their degrees, Giovana also holds several certifications including an Advanced Electric Power Engineering Certificate from Michigan Technological University, a CAE - Certificate of Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment, a Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD) - Stufe II from Kulturministerkonferenz (KMK), and a Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD) - Stufe I, also from Kulturministerkonferenz (KMK).
