Julio Martins da Costa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and process improvement within the manufacturing sector. Currently serving as the Technology & Quality Manager at Syrah Resources Ltd since 2021, Julio oversees customer engagement, product development, and quality management for a green-field project focused on supplying high-purity graphite for the lithium-ion battery market. Previously, Julio held the position of Continuous Improvement Manager at Kaiser Aluminum, where initiatives were led to enhance operational performance in the aerospace supply chain. With a robust background at Alcoa spanning from 2000 to 2019, Julio progressed through various roles including Operations Manager for multiple casthouse operations and Production Manager at a smelter, managing significant sales and overseeing large teams. Julio holds an Executive MBA from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and multiple postgraduate degrees in Manufacturing and Safety Engineering, along with a Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering.
