Gareth Simpson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the chemical and polymer industries, currently serving as Vice President of Innovation and Sustainability at Synthomer. Since joining the company in 2011, Gareth has held various leadership roles, including Global Process Technology Director and Head of Latex Technologies, focusing on manufacturing excellence and new product development in latex technologies. Prior experience at Synthomer Ltd from 1983 to 2011 included roles such as Business Improvement Manager and Head of Research, where Gareth led cost-saving projects and managed R&D for SBR latex and dispersions across multiple industries. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from King's College London and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Hull.
